Kate Moss has become the new face of Burberry - nine months after bosses axed her.

The British fashion house quickly distanced itself from the sView the profile for Kate Moss on Celebrity Spotlightupermodel last year, after pictures apparently showing her snorting cocaine were published.

Moss has now been reunited with Burberry and will front the 2006 autumn/winter campaign for label.

The advertisement, shot by Mario Testino, shows the catwalk beauty dressed in a white lace trench coat standing defiantly in front of fellow models Stella Tenant, Otis and Issac Ferry on a rooftop.

Since Moss was welcomed back into the fashion world after spending time in a drug rehabilitation centre, anti-drug campaigners have been critical about the industry's willingness to quickly forgive the shamed model.

Peter Stoker, director of the Drug Prevention Alliance, told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: ""Burberry could have publicly said that what Kate Moss did had influenced an awful people and she should straighten up her act, whereas instead they're trivialising the impact of drug use."

Burberry was not the only company to cancel planned projects with the supermodel following the cocaine scandal. H+M and Roberto Cavalli both ditched Moss, sending her career into freefall.

However, Burberry, famous for its check motif, was careful not to sever all ties with the model, and she was invited to their 150th birthday celebration earlier this year.

A spokesman said at the time: "Kate is part of the Burberry family and it is only natural that she should be here."

Britney Spears has signed preliminary divorce papers, according to British reports.

The pregnant star allegedly signed the documents after consulting lawyers about splitting from husband Kevin Federline.

A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "It's a stressful time. Britney has already started seeing lawyers about splitting with Kevin.

"She is serious about it. She knows she has to get things moving."

Britney has been at the centre of months of speculation her marriage is on the rocks.

Last week, it was revealed the singer hit out at Federline on her website - by posting a picture of herself posing with a rude hand gesture....

Supermodel Helena Christensen has insisted she would rather die than go on a diet.

Despite being under pressure to stay slim for her career, the 37-year-old beauty insists she eats what she likes and would never follow any eating fads.

She said: "As for dieting, I just could not go there because I'm obsessed with food. I would rather die than do that.

"I have so much respect for people who have to diet and have to think of their weight. That must be the hardest thing - next to childbirth."

The mum-of-on, who now only models part-time, also revealed that she never worried about getting fat when she was a full-time catwalk queen.

She told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Strangely enough, I didn't worry at all about my body when I worked as a model full-time.

"It was only after I started winding down on modelling that I thought about training, just so I don't end up completely hunched over like an old woman."
